Settling In (for
telarano)
Things haven't exactly settled down any back in New York since the Avengers managed to revert reality back to the way it had been before Thanos erased half of all existence. There's still so very much up in the air.
The Big Things are at least sorted. May's alive again, having been dusted for the last six months as well as Peter had. Really that's the only big thing that's sorted. They're living in a shelter at the moment. Like many New Yorkers Peter and his aunt found their home to have been taken over by another family during the time they were missing. Since there really were no legal rights for a deceased person especially to a piece of rental property there wasn't a whole lot to be done about it. They can't exactly kick out the new family living there, and nor did either Peter or May want to. Luckily some of their things were sent to local storage along with most of the Dusted to be stored for family members to claim.
It meant more than they could say to have some of Ben's things still among their belongings. Most of it's still in storage for the moment, while May tries to find them a new place to live in Queens. She's been working real close with the local charities ever since they got back. Really finding purpose among the non profits she's dealing with. Peter's glad one of them seems to be falling back into place easily.
He hasn't gone back to school yet. Tony Stark's funeral is about the only Thing he's drug himself out to attend. Most of his time is spent helping May look for affordable housing, or trying to take care of them as best he can. But he's feeling more himself today so when May says she'll be out late house-hunting Peter sends her off with a hug before PINpointing to the Nexus.
It's time to keep a promise he's made.
He swipes out a text to 'Spider-Bro'. Hey man, you free today?

Grateful for the distraction he climbs after his friend, giving the little rooftop a glance to make sure nothing is off. Pausing when he notices the other looking around the city proper.
"Yeah? That's kinda cool. Parts of the place get trashed pretty often- you get super villains showing up and wrecking things, but people have figured out how to patch things up after pretty well. Bet your world'll be back on it's feet before you know it."
Miles gave a light pat to the side of Peter's shoulder, making sure the other saw him toss his bag up on top of the roof access shed- if anyone came up top they wouldn't see the bags there.
"Got anywhere in particular you wanna check out first? Visitor's choice."

"You know..I'm not usually in this end of Brooklyn." Less muggings and drug dealers in these higher class neighborhoods. But they're only kind of here on business and Peter knows that. So he hops up onto the edge of the roof and turns back to give Miles a cheeky grin and tilt of his head.
"What's the best view you've got around here?"

He pointed out the building, not too far from where they were. "See that window there on the side closest to us, with the blue light on? That's my dorm room. If it's just me and a big dude with black hair that's Ganke, been best friends since we were kids. He knows about the whole spider deal with me. Skinny black dude with glasses is the other roommate and he's not in the know." Miles gave a shrug. "If you need to get hold of me and for some reason can't text me or whatever, that's the best place to start looking on a weekday."
"As far as views? Man, there's plenty. Come on!" It was easy enough to drop from the side of the building with an energetic woop! of noise, catching another building by webbing the corner to arc around it, trusting Peter would be able to follow. It wasn't a race (yet) so he wasn't going overly fast, just excited to be able to show Peter around.
Work absconded with me again am sorry T-T
Or...y'know...might want to hang out or something. Like this. Spider Bros. Nothing weird about that right? He's trying to commit that dorm room to memory. Grinning a bit under his mask at the idea of showing up just to see what Miles was up to. N..not that he would do that probably. Too risky.
"Good to know."
Wouldn't be a version of New York without the Views. Peter leaps off the rooftop after Miles and follows him round the corner far above the normal day to day traffic (cars and foot) playing out far far below them. It's a joy to be doing this and with a friend rather than alone. More fun than Peter can remember having following the other Spider-Man's lead and zipping through the skies. He can't be blamed for pulling himself up to a nearby building by his webbing only to push off it and dive down past Miles in a flip before swinging out again with a little excited whoop.
He's showing off but just a little.
